The Directorate: Learner Social Support Services hosted a National Children’s Day Commemoration at Daeraad Special School in Wolmaransstad. Kgorogo Social Investment (one of South Africa’s four grantees of the HER Voice Fund [HVF]) extended the invitation to the South Africa HVF Ambassador, Ibanomonde Ngema, to inspire the school’s pupils as part of the celebration. Ibanomonde shared her story of growth and personal development with the adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) who were present in the hall that morning. Among the guest speakers, many organizations from South Africa were represented, including the Department of Social Development (DSD), Department of Justice (DOJ), and the school’s teachers and headmaster, Mr. A. Rudman. It was a morning of information sharing, story sharing, inspiration, and wisdom. We thanked Pinampi Mano, Founder and Director of Kgorogo Social Investment, for the invitation. We were proud of the networking opportunities we received that day!
